What stunning piece of work! Where did you find this wonder? You have captured it with such grace…which isn’t easy when working with stained glass.
Glad you like it. The window is in the monastery of Debre Libanos in Ethiopia. Quite a few of my WW submissions have been of that site.
I love stained glass art work. This is an interesting piece.
Happy Wordless Wednesday.
Very nice indeed! And you don’t see much of Adam and Eve illustrations with the lion. Usually it’s the snake that’s with them.
Happy WW!
That is lovely! Happy WW: http://tinyurl.com/5podks

Happy WW!!!!!
i love the colors on this stained glass work of art…beautiful!!
Vibrant ! Where was this taken or did I miss that bit of information somewhere? OOPS! I scrolled back up and found your comment. I’ve never been to Ethiopia !
It almost looks like a painting that almost takes my breath away and is quite surely almost the best capture of stained glass I’ve ever seen !
Interesting that a lion is “featured” with them rather than the serpent.
Very beautiful! Happy WW…
Hi Swampy. Yes, it’s interesting it’s a lion. As far as I’m aware there’s no lion in the myth except maybe where Adam is naming the beasts, so I can only imagine that this is before the “fall.” The Lion of Judah is Ethiopia’s national animal, so I guess that’s why it’s in the window.
I love the colors, simply captivating…
I wonder if you might wanna join our Monochrome Friday meme, this Friday’s theme is about Windows/Door.
Lovely.
Monochrome Friday: count me in. I’ve already put a post together and I’ll submit it on Friday.
Just beautiful!
