Citizen Maia
On Monday, the processing of Maia’s citizenship papers came through. The nice people at Homeland Security gave her an American flag.

Another lovely photo of Maia; I’m enjoying her pictures so much, they’re a delight! When I saw the title ‘Citizen Maia’ on twitter I simply assumed she’d started up her own newspaper. But that’s silly of me and a little premature. I can see that she had to finish her lunch first. Bon appetit, Maia x
And oddly, even though it’s only 4:45 AM, right now she’s sitting just where she was where this photograph was taken, enjoying a waffle and a glass of orange juice. Despite her citizenship, I think she lives on Ethiopian time, or something close to it.
