Malkias’s vocabulary
This is a list of the words that Malkias spontaneously uses in an appropriate context. There are many more words he says but only in repeating them soon after he’s heard us use them:

I think that, like Maia, he has a good vocabulary for his age. He was 15 months when we started putting this list together. By the time Maia reached her second birthday she used well over 200 words. It actually became impossible for us to track her word use because her vocabulary was so large.

I like your rigour in cataloguing all this, but exactly how many years are you planning to keep the list up, Bodhipaksa?
Until college? Actually, there comes a point when the words come so fast, and there are so many of them in total, that it’s impossible to keep track of them without sophisticated recording equipment and a team of grad students. I guess we’ll know when we get there. In the meantime, it’s a fascinating little project!
