Hi Iain,

I certainly do know of Edward Alfred Tragheim. He's on my family tree too. His father was Alfred Tragheim, and his Grandfather was Edward Tragheim, who was also my great great grandfather. I don't have a lot of details about him. One of his brothers is still alive, and living in Germany. I'd be happy to talk more, but perhaps we could do it by email?

All the best,
Bodhipaksa

not so much of a comment, but a Tragheim genealogical inquiry with which I'm hoping you can help:

a Tragheim married into my family tree at one point, but shortly thereafter, he was killed in combat in WWII; I have wondered about him for some time (who was he, where did he come from and what was his story?) and I don't like the idea of simply forgetting about individuals who paid the ultimate price and in many cases do not have any actual descendants to pay them any kind of homage. The people in my family who could have provided me with answers to these questions are all now deceased, so I am left to cobble the facts together as best I can.

I notice that you have mentioned Dundee, Scotland in connection with your Tragheim ancestry and this location fits well with what I know of "my" Tragheim. Would you happen to be able to tie Edward Alfred Tragheim born circa 1914 into your family tree?

(as you may well know, this church is near Dundee)
