Proud of Obama
I just heard that Obama won in the Iowa caucus. As absurd as the caucus system seems to me, I’m incredibly proud that a black man has been nominated as presidential candidate by an overwhelmingly white state. What a sign of progress in America!
I live in New Hampshire, and the primary here is only five days away. Although my favored candidate would be John Edwards (I can’t actually vote because of the whole being British thing) I’m excited for Obama’s prospects and the family will be going to see him talk in Exeter on Sunday.
Maia has already been photographed with Edwards, so we’ll have to see if we can get a pic with Obama as well.

I hope that you get a picture of Maia with him, too! What a neat thing for her to have to look back on. Glad you to see you back posting again–I was starting to wonder. We missed you!
