Random number

First spotted on Doonesbury.com, followed up in Forbes:

It’s not based on any particular data point,” a Treasury spokeswoman told Forbes.com Tuesday. “We just wanted to choose a really large number.”

Yup, that’s the way to govern. Just pick a very large sum of money at random and throw it at the problem.
