As a guy trying to get more of his nutritional intake from plants, I do find this frustrating.
I suspect though that if meat wasn’t so heavily subsidized here, we wouldn’t necessarily consume less meat but we’d just send more money over seas to buy cheaper foreign livestock draining even more money out of our economy into the trade deficit.
