How cool! I love that you are posting these antique photos. They are so interesting!
Happy WW!
At quick glance I thought that was Robin Williams. I love your series of photos. Please come visit my WW: http://tinyurl.com/3m6opc
What a treasure! I’ve collected quite a few old photos like that of my family too. Priceless!
Have a great day!
Look at that suit!! We have some old tin types, and I’m amazed at the clothes these people had to wear.
I love this, did you touch it up or did the picture stay clear?
great portrait…
mine is up. hope you can drop by:

Hi Fernweh,
This picture is untouched — it’s in very good condition. The scan enlarges it by about 50%, which helps bring out some of the detail. It’s hard to say how old Leslie is here — maybe mid-50s? Which would make this photograph about 110 years old.
Great photograph. I love the details and quality of the photo I swear you could almost count the hairs of his beard.
my WW is as well check it out.
such a gorgeous photo. you’re very lucky to have it!
happy WW
What a lovely idea.
I’m enjoying your old family photos. Leslie Lickley reminds me of Robin Williams for some reason – maybe because of his eyes. He has wonderful eyes, I think.
I’d never noticed before that he looks like Robin Williams!
Nice one! He has great twinkly eyes and laugh-lines… Looks like a very kindly and funny gentleman.
It’s nice to see, because people often look so stern in these old photographs.
I love these old photos; It makes me want to get busy scanning some of my own before they ruin.
I know I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again: these antique photos are utterly magical. I feel like a time traveler when I view them.
