What an amazing mural! I’ve always loved the texture of painted artwork on brick. It absolutely transforms the neighborhood around it. Where did you find this remarkable work?
I’ve posted my somewhat provocative WW contribution here:

Hope you’ll drop by for a look. I promise it’ll make you smile!
All the best,
Carmi
It’s a great picture, for sure. Is it a mural? I guess it is… Did you do it?
Anyway, great job! Happy WW day!
My post
Interesting image. I’m thinking this is one of those huge murals from the side of a building. Not quite sure what got on it. But I love the whale images.
It must be a mural painted on a wall somwhere… a brick wall?
That’s gorgeous and I’m sure it took forever. It’s too bad some of the bricks fell out.
Wonderful image. I wonder what wall it is painted on and where. I suppose I should go with the spirit of wordlessness and just soak in the image and send my mind off to to the ocean and ask it to relax and swim with the whales.
Let me guess: A mural of a humpback whale and her calf, painted on the wall of a brick building? Happy Wordless Wednesday.
I remember so clearly when this mural was first painted, and the plain gray wall that was there beforehand. I guess all the chips in the pain show how much time has passed since then.
I love ‘street’ art!
Have a terrific day and find me here if you get a chance:

There’s a mural like this on the side of a building in Boston. Great shot!
Even with the chipped brickwork it is a beautiful image. Thanks for sharing, happy WW!
That’s a cool pic. The detail is phenomenal.
Thanks for the comments, everyone. The mural is in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and it’s by Robert Wyland, who probably did the one you know in Boston, Kim. If you follow the link on Wyland’s name you’ll see a photograph of the whole mural. I love the fact that it’s falling to bits!
Fantastic – it’s all what I can say here on Wordless
great pic! Happy WW!
