I’m torn. Chalk outlines give me the willies. But I’m intrigued. Which is the whole point of photography, right?

I think it depends on who drew it and why.
Hmmm . . . definitely one of those that causes you to stop and ponder. It is cute . . . in a creepy sort of way. Or is it creepy in a cute sort of way? Regardless, it makes for an interesting photo.

A little of both! I think if you look at it through innocent eyes it is cute. But, as an adult it is a bit creepy.

Call me morbid, but the ice cream cone off to the side leads me to think this creepy.

Thanks for all the comments, and apologies for not having had the time to visit your WW posts yet — I’ll do that later today. So Maia (aged 2) and Kaia (the 5 year-old girl next door — the similarity of the two names did not occur to us when we named Maia) were playing outdoors, and the kids were drawing around each other. I did Maia, and it seemed cute at the time. But then looking at the photographs all I could think about was murder scenes. So this one reminded me of a CSI crime scene in which even the position of the ice-cream was noted. It’s a tough world out there. Some people will knock you off just for your maple-walnut ice cream in a waffle cone with candy sprinkles.

I think it was innocence. Sometimes as a child I use to draw chalk outlines around my friends all the time. I mean I didn’t know at 4 years old about homicide things
I saw . . . a litte of both. The ice cream cone is cute, but we all associate an outline with something creepy. hehe
